背景资料：The human IL-8 ELISA is a ready-to-use solid-phase enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay based on the sandwich principle with a working time of 4·5 hours· The efficient format of 2 plates with twelve disposable 8-well strips allows free choice of batch size for the assay· Samples and standards are captured by a solid bound specific antibody· Biotinylated tracer antibody will bind to captured human IL-8· Streptavidin-peroxidase conjugate will bind to the biotinylated tracer antibody· Streptavidin-peroxidase conjugate will react with the substrate, tetramethylbenzidine (TMB)· The enzyme reaction is stopped by the addition of citric acid· The absorbance at 450 nm is measured with a spectrophotometer· A standard curve is obtained by plotting the absorbance (linear) versus the corresponding concentrations of the human IL-8 standards (log)· The human IL-8 concentration of samples, which are run concurrently with the standards, can be determined from the standard curve。
产品描述：Interleukin-8 (IL-8) belongs to the CXC chemokine family· This cytokine has a wide range of proinflammatory properties ranging from its main function as chemoattractant for neutrophils, basophils and a subpopulation of lymphocytes, to activation of neutrophils· This ELR motive (Glu-Leu-Arg motive in NH2 terminus) positive CXC chemokine is a potent activator of angiogenesis· In vivo, IL-8 is detected in conditions of inflammation· High levels of IL-8 are observed during septic episodes in seriously ill patients· Various observations strongly suggest a role for the CXC chemokines IL-8 and IP-10 in the regulation of angiogenic activity in cancer and in idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis· In vitro, multiple cell types can produce IL-8· The cytokine can be rapidly detected after activation of cells with a wide variety of activators; endotoxin is a potent inducer of IL-8 release by monocytes and endothelial cells· The human IL-8 ELISA kit shows cross reactivity with most old world monkeys。
